Our portfolio of mining businesses meets our customers’ changing needs and spans bulk commodities – iron ore and manganese, metallurgical coal and thermal coal; base metals and minerals – copper, nickel, niobium and phosphates; and precious metals and minerals – in which we are a global leader in both platinum and diamonds.

We stand for the very best in mining, committed to the highest standards of safety and responsibility across all our businesses and geographies and to making a sustainable difference in the development of the communities around our operations.

At Anglo American, our commitment to sustainability, partnership and open, honest engagement with our stakeholders is at the core of our values. It is central to how we think and it is at the heart of how we conduct our business.

Situated 150 km north of the Arctic Circle in Finland, the Sakatti project is a significant Copper-Nickel-Platinum Group Elements grassroots discovery made by Anglo American. The project is still in the exploration phase and a great deal of work needs to be done before a mine could be developed. As we carry on with our work at Sakatti we look to continue working together with our local partners and stakeholders to develop best practice in responsible modern mining.
