Our CEO Pertti Lamberg has been appointed as the chair of the board of the Finnish Mining Association (FinnMin) for the years 2024–2025. He has served on the FinnMin board for the past three years, including two years as vice chair.
"The current geopolitical situation and the green transition put enormous pressure on raw material self-sufficiency in Europe. The EU's Critical Raw Materials Act and Finland’s Minerals Strategy are good examples of the kind of attention that is directed towards the mining industry and the kind of issues that the entire industry needs to cooperate on," commented Pertti Lamberg.
Professor, Ph.D. in Geology, Pertti Lamberg has been the CEO of AA Sakatti Mining Oy and the Project Manager of the Sakatti mining project since 2020. In addition to leadership positions in the mining industry, he has worked as a professor of geometallurgy at the Luleå University of Technology in Sweden, as well as in mining technology research and product development.

FinnMin Board 2024–2025
FinnMin appointed a new board on 22 November and Pertti Lamberg was appointed as the chair of the board. Yara Suomi Oy's Head of Siilinjärvi Mine Antti Savolainen was appointed as the vice chair.
Chief Production Officer Seppo Voutilainen from Terrafame Oy was appointed as a new member of the board.
